Remy Ma legend spent over an hour airing out her soon-to-be-ex, Papoose, with wild allegations.
Remember that “Black Love” fairytale that Remy Ma and Papoose put on for years exploded into a full-blown verbal brawl across social media, and Remy Ma is not holding back.
After months of silence, the Bronx rapper went on an unfiltered Instagram Live that has truly shaken the internet, airing out dirty laundry about her split, slamming rumors, and taking direct aim at Olympic boxer Claressa Shields.
In an hour-long Instagram Live, Remy Ma finally opened up about the unraveling of her once-celebrated marriage to fellow rapper Papoose. She emphasized that the truth behind their relationship would break fans’ hearts. And she dropped some bombs!
Remy claims that she and Papoose haven’t slept in the same bed since May 2022, despite allowing fans to believe they were still living that “Black Love” dream displayed on their hit VH1 series, “Meet The Mackies.”
According to Remy, she was the one who ended their 15-year marriage. She alleges Papoose was verbally mistreating her, and she even claimed there’s footage of him attempting to kick out her car window while she was rummaging through his phone.
Remy aimed directly at Claressa Shields, seemingly referring to her as Papoose’s “new love.” “I feel sorry for the ol’ girl,” Remy stated, claiming to pity Claressa because she suspects Papoose was “mooching off her.” Remy also wants him to sign the divorce papers A-S-A-P so she can move on with her life.
“People would cry if they knew the truth. I feel sorry for her because I know the circles that’s being ran and wrapped around over there. I would cry. I feel bad,” Remy said. She even declared, “I’m not scared of her!”
But Papoose wasn’t about to take Remy Ma’s hour-long rant lying down! He quickly went on the offensive, hopping on Instagram to share his side. He revealed that Remy had “cheated on him during the marriage multiple times”!
Papoose then challenged Remy, writing, “This was so easy to file for divorce. Why hasn’t she done it?”. He suggested that if Remy truly wanted to move on, she could have filed long ago, claiming he hadn’t filed previously to protect their daughter from the public mess.
“You can get a divorce peacefully and privately,” he said, “But when a person wants to be bitter and clout chase, it turns into a circus.” And if that wasn’t enough, Papoose even alleged that Remy tried to get back with him, stating, “You just called me YESTERDAY, trying to get back with me. And I said NO!” He also accused Remy of lying on her livestream and embarrassing their child.
This heated exchange comes just after Claressa Shields herself addressed the situation on “The Breakfast Club,” admitting Papoose “needed to handle his beeswax” but still declaring “zero ‘ill will'” towards Remy, playfully calling her “The Elephant in the Room!!!”
Remy and Papoose’s marriage has always been a symbol of resilience in hip-hop. They famously stood by each other after Remy began serving a prison sentence in 2008 for a 2007 shooting incident. They married over the phone that same year and became “Hip-Hop’s relationship goals” after Remy’s release in 2014. They even held a formal wedding ceremony in 2016, aired on Love & Hip Hop: New York, and welcomed their daughter, Reminisce Mackenzie, in 2018. Now, this public unraveling is a stark contrast to their once-celebrated image.
