‘RHOBH’s Garcelle Beauvais on Her Decision to Return to the Show: ‘I’m Not a Quitter’

Following the drama last season on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Garcelle Beauvais considered quitting the show.

However, the Haitian beauty returned for the show’s twelfth season.

Speaking to “The Weekly Scoop with CJ,” podcast Garcelle said season 12 had a “rough start” because of the pandemic. Season 11 saw Garcelle bump heads with Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley and even Erika Girardi.

At times, it seemed Sutton Stracke was her only friend on the show. Viewers speculated that Garcelle would walk away from the show after repeatedly being ganged up on by some of the other ladies.

“I’m not a quitter,” said Garcelle, adding that Sutton told her,” ‘Don’t you leave me with them.'”

“It’s the hardest job I’ve ever done,” she adds. “Because I can’t hide behind anything. I can’t hide behind a character. It’s challenged me. It’s given me a little tougher skin.”

There were also reports that Garcelle had fallen out with bestie, Sutton. “The Real” host shrugged off the rumors.

“Sometimes [Sutton and I] may have quarrels, but nothing everlasting… We’re good.”

Last month, production was shut down after Garcelle, Erika and Lisa tested positive for the coronavirus.

“The girls who are sick are trying to take care of themselves. The other cast members are nervous now that they might have it. Production is taking every precaution to keep people safe,” a source told PEOPLE. “All of the ladies are vaccinated. They’re fine and will be fine because of it.”

Garcelle also shared the news on her Instagram:

“I found out that I tested positive for COVID. I feel okay, I’m sure I will continue to feel okay. My boys are being tested, so far they’ve tested negative. We’re going to continue testing them,” she said.
