On Tuesday (Feb. 4), DJ Khaled released a cinematic seven-minute trailer for AALAM OF GOD, directed by Eif Rivera. The action-packed clip feels like a Hollywood heist movie, with Khaled playing the lead role as he fights to protect the files for his upcoming album. The trailer is filled with high-stakes drama, including a car chase, a double-crossing friend, and even a cameo from Mark Wahlberg, who leads a team of robbers trying to steal Khaled’s album.
The dramatic short film starts off with DJ Khaled fighting off a team of assailants trying to steal the files for Aalam of God, which includes not just two Drake collaborations and possibly a 100-bar Jay-Z verse—a revelation that even Mark Wahlberg’s character in the trailer is losing sleep over.
The intense visuals feature Khaled dodging betrayals, including one from Anthony Ramos, who double-crosses him after a casual lunch at a Jamaican spot. But as always, Khaled emerges victorious, proving once again that he’s the ultimate mastermind in protecting his work.
The most jaw-dropping moment comes at the end of the trailer when Khaled, fresh off his dramatic escape, drops a game-changing line:
“Send Rihanna the record.”
Just like that, fans were sent into an instant frenzy. Could Aalam of God really mark Rihanna’s long-awaited return to music?
