Miss Janet Jackson, American music royalty and global entertainment icon, will finally be given her just due. Janet Jackson will be inducted into the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Artists become eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first single or album. Janet is the second woman to be inducted into this year’s class, alongside Stevie Nicks. Other inductees include Def Leppard, Radiohead, The Zombies, The Cure, and Roxy Music. This is the largest class to be inducted since 2004.
Janet’s music explores social issues, women’s empowerment, self-esteem, and liberated sexuality wrapped in innovative sound and unparalleled choreography. Jackson ranked No. 7 on Billboard’s 2013 list of Top Artists in Hot 100 History, has sold an estimated 160 million records, holds 27 Top Ten hits, and has four of the most influential albums of a generation: Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, The Velvet Rope, and janet. Her influence on countless of entertainers is without question. Her inspiration of billions of fan worldwide continues as she celebrates another milestone with the State of the World Tour and the release of “Made For Now” with Daddy Yankee.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on March 29th. With an edited version of the event airing later on HBO alongside a SiriusXM radio broadcast. Ticket for the awards will be will be announced in January.
