The desperate search continues for 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger of Jonesboro, Arkansas, who vanished in the waters off Destin, Florida, on June 12 after being swept away by a powerful current while vacationing with her family.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Trinity was last seen around 7:30 p.m. between Osteen Beach and Norriego Point.

The child was swimming with her mother, Raven Crush, when the current became too strong. Despite her mother’s valiant efforts to save her, Trinity was pulled under and hasn’t been seen since.

“I gave it all I could,” Crush wrote in a heartbreaking Facebook post. “I just want you to know I tried my hardest, baby girl. I promise.”

Authorities immediately issued an Aqua Alert and launched a massive multi-agency search effort, which has included drones, helicopters, beach patrols, and a team of 10 divers conducting more than two dozen underwater dives. Despite these exhaustive efforts, Trinity remains missing.

A GoFundMe campaign launched by her aunt has raised over $20,000 to support the family with expenses related to the ongoing search, transportation, and potential homegoing services. The campaign reflects the community’s heartbreak and hope to bring Trinity home.

“All she wanted was to have fun,” the page reads. “Her mom tried with everything in her to save her.”

As the search enters its fourth day, locals and supporters across the country are holding out hope for answers and a sense of closure for Trinity’s grieving family.
