Joie Chavis is tired, and this time, she’s not keeping it cute and quiet. In a recent social media post, the influencer and professional dancer gave fans a rare glimpse into her emotional exhaustion as a mom of three.
Joie, who shares children with rapper Bow Wow, hip-hop star Future, and NFL player Trevon Diggs, vented in an unfiltered clip that has now sparked both sympathy and serious online debate.
“I’m tired, y’all,” she said. “It’s like, having two kids is one thing. Having three is like having ten. I need a break.”
Joie explained that her kids, 13-year-old Shai (with Bow Wow), are currently with her father, but 5-year-old Hendrix (with Future) and baby Stone (with Trevon Diggs) are with her, which gave her a rare moment to breathe. But even that wasn’t enough to ease the mental load she was carrying.
Trying to juggle motherhood and business has become overwhelming, she admitted. And when mocking some of the unsolicited advice she gets online, she fake-cried while quoting: “Once you stop having them, you won’t feel tired.” Then snapped back with: “Good one. Shut up.”
But while Joie may have been venting like any overwhelmed mom, the internet quickly did what it does best—judge.
One commenter wrote, “Oh, she made the same mistake three different times with three different men. This also explains why Black women have more children than Black men. Children are expensive, and having a father in the home is important.”
Another took aim at her lifestyle, saying, “Women have babies for money and then realize it’s still a lot of work. All that money can’t replace a husband.”
Others were more direct: “You laid down with three different men. Go to court and get shared custody. If you’re tired, sacrifice the money.”
While critics were quick to drag her, it’s not the first time Joie has faced this kind of heat. Back in October, she addressed the backlash over having three children by three different men, making it clear she didn’t plan things this way.
“I don’t go looking for nobody, okay? Let’s just get that straight,” she said at the time. “I don’t go out searching for nothing. Y’all act like I just meet these people, get pregnant, and have a baby—no! It’s years of building with somebody, and it doesn’t work out. And I’m left with a child.”
