Sexyy Red didn’t hold back after Ray J made a wild claim during a Twitch livestream that they got intimate during a plane ride.
What started as a wild claim from the R&B singer has turned into a full-blown public showdown, with Sexyy Red putting Ray J on blast for falsely claiming they, shall we say, “hooked up.” Even a quick apology couldn’t save Ray J from the heat of Sexyy Red’s fiery clapback.
It all went down this past Sunday when Ray J, apparently under the influence during a Twitch livestream, made a rather bold declaration. “I slept with Sexy Red. Stop playing with me. You can clip that all you want to. Talk about I partied with Sexy Red. I slept with Sexy Red. Ask her. That’s on the dead homies. I slept with her,” he confidently told his viewers.
Sexyy Red, who was busy performing with Lil Baby in Atlanta at the time, heard the whispers and wasted precisely zero time in shutting that narrative down. She immediately took to Instagram, posting a screenshot of a text conversation with Ray J, accompanied by a very clear message: “CORNBALL AZX LYIN ON YA MEAT IS WIERD … PLAY IN YO A* NOT WIMME”.
Realizing he’d stepped in it, Ray J quickly returned to his stream hours later to issue a public apology. “I want to apologize to Sexyy Red because Sexyy Red is one of my favorite artists,” he began. He then tried to clarify the “sleeping” part, explaining, “Sexyy Red and I were on a plane, and we were both flying somewhere. We randomly saw each other. She was sitting by me.”
He even emphasized that they had separate seats, blankets, and pillows and slept during the flight like any two strangers might on a long trip.
He then fully walked back his previous statement, admitting, “I went out of control, and I said that I slept with Sexyy Red. And that’s insensitive, and it’s not okay. And it’s trolling at the highest level. And I want to say, Sexyy Red, my bad. It was childish. It was uncalled for. And you know, it wasn’t cool”.
But for Sexyy Red, that wasn’t quite enough. She also posted private messages directly confronting Ray J. “Even to b sayin’ we ‘slept’ on the plane together, I said hi and kept it pushin’ is you coo uh?! So dis what you doin’ playing with people name on da internet?” she wrote, clearly still irritated by his behavior.
Ray J, still trying to smooth things over, replied, “I said right after we slept on the plane together. You know I playin’. I’m always trolling, and you know I love you. I’ll make it clear right now on my main page. Sorry if you are mad at me. I’ll make it right now”.
To which Sexyy Red simply responded, “Dats not coo.”
