The ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is finally speaking out about their whirlwind romance and divorce. In a recent interview with Page Six, the 61-year-old businessman said he feels “absolute regret” about marrying the reality star and believes he was “targeted from the beginning for financial reasons.”
Simon and Porsha first made headlines back in 2021 when they got engaged just one month after his divorce from RHOA co-star Falynn Pina. It was messy, it was fast, and it had Bravo fans clutching their pearls. By November 2022, the two were officially married. But just 15 months later, the marriage collapsed, and Simon claims he never even saw it coming.
“I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’” Simon said. “And she wouldn’t say anything.”
According to Guobadia, Porsha ghosted him emotionally and physically. He says she stopped communicating, wouldn’t explain why she wanted out, and even her family cut him off.
“It felt like a coup,” he said. “No warning. No family check-ins. No discussions about problems. Just straight to divorce court.”
Simon went on to describe the marriage as a “$5 million rehab project,” claiming he poured resources into the relationship with no return. He says Porsha never mentioned being unhappy until the day she filed for divorce. “We never had those tough talks. I was completely blindsided,” he said, offering to release text messages to back up his story.
Simon claims that Porsha targeted him while he was emotionally vulnerable, sliding into his DMs while he was still reeling from his previous split.
“I was out of my mind. Thirty days later, I got engaged. Who does that? I think I was targeted.”
The prenup, which Simon now wants to challenge in court (even the Supreme Court, if needed), states Porsha will receive $40,000 per month for the duration of their marriage despite it only lasting 14 months. She also gets to stay in the couple’s house for up to 36 months, mortgage and expenses paid. If she wants to keep the property, she must refinance it in her name and give Simon 50% equity.
“In previous relationships, I honored the prenup. This time? I’m fighting it. I’m appealing 100%.”
Porsha, for her part, hasn’t said much, but she did share that she’s “at peace” with the divorce and made it clear infidelity was not a factor.
This is Porsha’s second marriage. She was previously married to former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart and shares a daughter with her ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley.
