Cori Broadus was hospitalized on Thursday after suffering a severe stroke at age 24.
The 24-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, is healing after a health scare this week.
Snoop Dogg’s only daughter has always been vocal about her health issues. In September 2022, Cori Broadus revealed she was diagnosed with lupus at age 6. She also shared her struggles dealing with the autoimmune disease.
The young entrepreneur shared that she had chosen a more holistic approach to managing her situation after years of medication.
“I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I’m just doing everything natural. All types of herbs, sea moss, and teas. I started working out and drinking lots of water. So, now I think my body’s like, okay, this is the new program, and she’s getting used to it,” Cori Broadus said in an interview with PEOPLE.
A few months before her recent brush with a stroke, Broadus revealed that she had stopped taking her medication.
Cori Broadus shared on social media that she started to “break down crying” when she was told that the stroke was “severe”.
“Like, I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this,” she wrote.
On January 19, Cori Broadus returned to her Instagram Story to share her healing journey with fans.
The 24-year-old shared more photos from her hospital bed, capturing gifts she’s received from loved ones in the snapshot.
“I truly appreciate all the love and support fr,” she wrote alongside photos of stuffed animals and flowers that filled her bedside.
According to Broadus, she’s “so open” about her life and experiences so that others do not feel alone.
“Again, I’m human, and I go through s**t like everybody else, which is why I’m so open about my life. I know I feel alone, but we are never alone. Someone is always going through d**n near the same… still here hoping to be home soon,” she wrote.
At this point, no information has been revealed about what caused the 24-year-old to have a stroke.
