News reports suggest Vice President Kamala Harris may be looking to make a move to New York following her courageous, yet unsuccessful presidential run last year.

According to a report in Page Six, her husband and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff toured a $20,000-a-month three-bedroom at the Park Loggia luxury condo building on the Upper West Side last week.

Further information reveals that he arrived at the Lincoln Center high-rise on Friday with a “convoy of SUVs and a phalanx of Secret Service.”

There is no word whether the couple will buy the apartment.

Meanwhile, a source told the outlet: “Not from me,  but I heard they were looking to be bicoastal.”

A third source told the outlet that Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff plan to make Los Angeles their primary base after leaving Number One Observatory Circle this week. However, the source acknowledged that Emhoff has been exploring potential homes in New York City on the couple’s behalf.

The couple’s Los Angeles home is located in an area significantly impacted by the recent wildfires.

As Harris transitions out of office, she has a wide range of options for her next chapter, including potential campaigns for California governor in 2026 or a presidential run in 2028. However, insiders suggest her immediate focus may be on writing a book. Six people familiar with internal discussions told NBC News that Harris is considering publishing a memoir. Two of them confirmed she has already decided to proceed with the project, while others said the details are still being finalized.

Harris, who will leave elected office for the first time in over 20 years on Monday, has largely avoided public commentary about her brief but intense presidential campaign. Thrust into the race when President Joe Biden withdrew in July, Harris swiftly secured the Democratic nomination but ultimately lost the general election to former President Donald Trump. A memoir could offer her perspective on the 107-day campaign to retain the presidency for her party and potentially serve as a platform to shape her political future.

“Kamala Harris is poised to land the biggest book deal of any vice president in history,” Keith Urbahn, the president and a co-founder of the literary agency Javelin, told NBC News. “But the real question isn’t the advance — it’s whether the book can redefine her for 2028.”
