Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour has officially set the Beyhive abuzz. As presale tickets for the global tour went live, fans were met with frustration, long wait times, and technical glitches on Ticketmaster, leaving many empty-handed and venting their grievances on social media.

Following her Grammy win for album of the year, Beyoncé has officially announced the dates for her eagerly awaited “Cowboy Carter” tour. The tour will consist of 22 performances, starting in April with four consecutive nights at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, and will continue to cities such as Chicago, Illinois; East Rutherford, New Jersey; London, United Kingdom; Paris, France; Houston, Texas; Washington, D.C.; and Atlanta, Georgia.

London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium will also host four shows each. At the same time, Beyoncé is scheduled to perform two concerts in Paris, Chicago, Houston, D.C., and Atlanta. In Washington, D.C., she will take the stage on July 4, promising an Independence Day celebration to remember.

Following Beyoncé’s announcement of the “Cowboy Carter Tour,” well-known ticket-purchasing platforms such as Ticketmaster started urging users to register for the presale of the show, which will commence on February 12, 2025.

The announcement sent fans into a frenzy, with millions eagerly logging on to Ticketmaster to secure their spots. Fans could choose from nine locations: Los Angeles, Paris, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. Also, members of Beyonce.com who were subscribed to the singer’s newsletter before February 3, 2025, were given access to a special presale named “BeyHive,” which began on February 11.

Nevertheless, when the presale started, numerous users noted delayed queues, unresponsive pages, and problems with Ticketmaster’s interactive seating chart.

Fans immediately took to X/Twitter to air their frustrations, with some calling Ticketmaster “so unserious” and sharing receipts of their struggles.

“When @Ticketmaster says it’s your turn to buy tickets for the @Beyoncé presale, then literally kicks you out of the presale,” one fan lamented. Others reported getting kicked out of the system just as they were about to secure their tickets.

“Ain’t no way Ticketmaster crashing for Beyoncé when I’m 100 people away.”

For those fortunate enough to get through Ticketmaster’s technical issues, another challenge awaited; staggering ticket costs. Some fans were shocked to find prices skyrocketing far beyond what they could afford, with resale listings appearing almost immediately at exorbitant markups.

“I love Beyoncé, but these ticket prices are wild! $600 for nosebleeds?!” one fan tweeted, while another joked, “I might just have to listen from outside the stadium.”

This isn’t the first instance of chaos with ticketing for Beyoncé’s fans. Many quickly drew parallels to the presale for her ‘Renaissance’ tour, where Ticketmaster’s demand-driven pricing and scalpers made it nearly impossible to secure tickets.

With general ticket sales yet to occur, fans are clinging to the hope that they might still be able to grab a spot to experience Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter.’ However, if the presale turmoil is any indication, they’ll require patience, persistence, and much luck.

Were you able to secure ‘Cowboy Carter’ tickets, or did you find yourself in the Ticketmaster battle? Sound off in the comments!
