Donald Glover and Janine Nabers’ latest horror-thriller series Swarm has taken the streaming world by storm, invoking chatter among fans who are getting an inside look of some at Hollywood’s most talked-about stories.

One of them includes the infamous 2018 “Beyoncé bite,” an alleged event that took place during a party the Renaissance star attended with her hubby of 15 years, Jay-Z. According to Tiffany Haddish, an actress had touched The Empire State of Mind rapper’s chest, rubbing the mother to his three children the wrong way.

“There was this actress there that’s just, like, doing the mostest. She bit Beyoncé in the face,” Haddish disclosed to GQ in an interview. “So Beyoncé stormed away, went up to JAY-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This b—-‘ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this b—- just bit Beyoncé?'”

For months, many had believed that the actress in question was The Best Man star Sanaa Lathan. Many other suspected culprits were named as the potential person of interest as well, although it has yet to be revealed who exactly took the alleged Beyoncé bite.

Enter in Amazon Prime’s Swarm, which pokes fun at the story. In a scene, the series’ main character Dre – a crazed fan who will stop at nothing to be with the show’s Beyoncé equivalent, Ni’Jah – breaks into the house of an employee working at a festival Ni’Jah will be attending. In the scene, she pretends she is trying to escape her abusive boyfriend, then uses the opportunity to gain access to the festival’s afterparty.

Once she gains access to the party, Dre sees Ni’Jah and begins to devour hors d’oeuvres presented to her, but then the show takes a twisted turn when viewers realize that she’s really biting into Ni’Jah.

The end result is Dre running out of the party in shock at what she has just done. One of the two staffers who are caught smoking at the back of the house where the party is held is then heard saying “You know who that was? The chick from Love & Basketball.”

And there you have it. Mystery solved.

The highly awaited series officially premiered last Friday and is now available on Amazon Prime.
