Tamar Braxton has found love. The 46-year-old Maryland native recently announced she was engaged to Jeremy “JR” Robinson, who just so happens to be a co-star on her new reality show Queens Court. The show, distributed by Peacock, interestingly enough carries a storyline of Braxton, songstress Nivea and Basketball Wives alum Evelyn Lozada’s quest to find love. Now, the Love & War star has opened up about her new fiancé, who is a New Orleans-based attorney.

On a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, the former The Real co-host admitted that “we got engaged after three weeks.”

When asked how she knew he was the one, she responded, “we are very likeminded. He’s different. He’s Anglo-Saxon and it’s my first time. But it’s different for me. The kids are amazing. We have six [children] between the two of us. So it’s great.”

The younger sister to Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton then took to Instagram to tell the world about her future husband.

“It’s my birthday but I have to post the one who puts this cheesy smile on my face. It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, Traditional love is the kind that I wanted and needed. We have 6 children between the two of us and they mean EVERYTHING to me. So miss me with the 4 baby mamas!!

She then began dating Vincent Herbert, a record executive she met through her sister Toni. They wed in 2008 and gave birth to their son Logan in 2013. The couple split in 2017, citing irreconcilable differences. She then began dating financial adviser David Adefeso, who filed a restraining order against her for domestic violence in 2020. Shortly after the order was filed, she was hospitalized following a suicide attempt.
