Tammy Williams is making history with her latest venture, Cinema South Studios, a $135 million production facility located just minutes away from Tyler Perry’s renowned studios.

When the production studio is fully completed, Williams, with a distinguished 25-year career in the entertainment industry spanning film, biographies, documentaries, entertainment, and network news, will become the first majority Black female owner of a studio in Georgia.

In partnership with Gary Guidry, CEO and investor of G-Square Events and Black Promoters Collective, Williams is poised to make a significant impact on the entertainment landscape.

“The demand for soundstages is happening globally, and the ownership rarely looks like us, let alone an African American woman,” said Guidry. “Investing in Tammy Williams and her team of professionals convinced me that buying the land in Fayetteville, GA, was a sound decision with her talents at the helm.”

Cinema South Studios will serve as the headquarters for Williams’ production company, Tammy’Dele Films, as well as Tammy’Dele Films Workshops and Cinema South Film Academy.

The expansive studio will feature 17 buildings, including sound stages, warehouses, offices, and a film academy, all situated on 60 acres of land.

Williams plans to celebrate the grand opening of Cinema South Studios in March, with the first two sound stages ready for production by early 2023.

“We’ve been patient,” Williams said in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.This has not been an overnight thing, this vision for us.”
