Iman Shumpert is not just asking for any items but for the ones he personally gifted to Teyana Taylor during their relationship and marriage.
Not only have gender roles changed in 2024 on several fronts, but it also appears that men are now the ones yelling, “Half!” At least, this seems to be the case in the bitter, intense divorce dispute that is presently developing between Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert.
Shumpert celebrated their sixth anniversary and gave Taylor a gorgeous white 1979 Corvette. Now he wants it all back, including jewelry!
According to an exclusive report by theJasmineBrand, the ex-couple persisted in their arguments regarding the division of assets and the custody arrangement for their kids during their most recent court appearance.
Furthermore, sources say that now that Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are no longer together, he wants the gifts he gave her back.
The latest drama has added another intense layer to their divorce.
In reports from last week, Shumpert asked Taylor for more significant financial contributions, saying that she makes twice as much as he does each month. He also requested that his child support be significantly reduced to reflect his lower earnings.
The former professional athlete also requested a week-on, week-off custody arrangement. That might be difficult, though, given that their kids are still minors and Iman Shumpert works outside of Georgia, where the kids are permanent residents.
Not only does Shumpert allegedly want a divorce from their children. He wants the judge to award him half of Teyana’s royalties from her premarital projects.
In response,Taylor demanded receipts and documentation from Shumpert for various expenses, including recent luxury purchases and expenditures related to their children’s upbringing.
In addition, Taylor has asked for documentation of Shumpert’s earnings from all of his music industry pursuits, including endorsement contracts, royalties from performances, producer fees, and payments for social media influence. She has also requested receipts for costs associated with their kids’ upbringing, including birthday celebrations, extracurricular activities, nanny fees, clothes, and shoes.
According to Teyana’s CPA, Mike Bean, Iman spends $112,500 a month on his other expenses, while he claims he can only afford to pay $8,000 in child support. Additionally, Shumpert has spent over $14,000 on eating out, over $14,000 on his podcast, and over $6,000 producing music for his music videos.
