The Love & Hip Hop: New York alum Amina Buddafly recently revealed that she and her two daughters lost their Los Angeles home and have relocated to Germany to rebuild. The 42-year-old singer shared her journey from Hollywood hardship to hopeful new beginnings.
In a raw and honest video posted on June 24, 2025, the German-born singer revealed that she and her two daughters, Cori and Bronx, are officially homeless after losing their home in Los Angeles.
“Day one of waking up in Germany after losing our home in LA,” she began, lying in bed with her kids nearby. “Me and my kids moved out of our place, put our stuff in storage or most of it in the trash… We don’t have a home, y’all.”
Amina shared that she and her girls have now relocated to Hamburg, Germany, where she was born and raised, and are staying with family while she figures out her next steps. “Thank God for family,” she said. “We’re going to be here till I figure it out. Because I will, as I always do.”
Despite her calm demeanor, the singer didn’t sugarcoat how rough the past couple of years have been. “I’ve been working so hard and not making enough money,” she admitted. “Losing our LA home was the worst thing that could’ve happened.”
Fans who’ve followed her since her Love & Hip Hop days remember her turbulent relationship with Peter Gunz, one that sparked one of reality TV’s most unforgettable love triangles. Peter was still involved with his longtime partner, Tara Wallace, when he secretly married Amina. The drama played out in front of millions. While the romance didn’t last, it gave Amina two beautiful daughters and a major following.
Now 42, Amina is still hustling, recording music, writing books (like her 2019 memoir The Other Woman), and doing everything she can to provide for her girls. But even with a career that includes Def Jam deals, reality stardom, and bestselling books, Amina says she had to throw away nearly 80% of her belongings during the move.
“I didn’t have anything valuable,” she admitted, “but I do have love. And that’s more important.”
Despite the heartbreak of losing her home, Amina’s message is full of grace and strength. She reminded followers that sometimes losing something is the universe’s way of clearing space for the next chapter. “We are happy, healthy, powerful, and capable,” she said. “We’re exploring new opportunities. Sometimes, losing something is only taking you to the next place you are meant to be.”
Black Twitter and longtime fans flooded her comments with support and love, praising her honesty and transparency. Many related to the financial struggle she described, especially as a single mother, artist, and Black woman navigating both fame and survival.
