Tyronesha Laws, the woman who was publicly assaulted by rapper DaBaby following a show in Tampa, Florida — has slammed his apology, saying that she does not believe that his apology is sincere.

DaBaby issued Laws an apology via his social media, where he appeared to partially blame her for the attack, alleging that she blinded him with the flash on her phone. He said he had no idea whether he was lashing out at a man or a woman.

But according to Laws, she was not the woman holding the flash, meaning that the rapper may have assaulted her for no reason whatsoever.

“We went upstairs on the stairway to take a picture at the picture booth by the stage,” she told TMZ. “I see security saying move, move, move everyone move out the way. I was standing next to a young lady, and all of a sudden I turned around and I said to my boyfriend, ‘There go DaBaby, he’s coming through.'”

Laws continued that while she was standing, a woman next to her whipped out her phone, turning the flash on to take the picture.

“I woke up, my head was hurting really, really bad,” explained. “The top of my right cheekbone, it was hurting like it was tender. So, I did go to the hospital, and I was diagnosed with a contusion to my cheekbone.”

And she is not here for DaBaby’s weak apology.

“I don’t feel like he was sincere with the apology,” Laws added. “I was embarrassed. I had people calling me, writing me on Instagram through fake pages, people seeing me at my job like, ‘You’re the girl that got slapped.’ It’s embarrassing. My daughter wakes up in the middle of the night, crying over, hearing me on the phone with my lawyer talking about the situation.”

DaBaby has had a meteoric rise to success and is undoubtedly one of the hottest rappers in the mainstream, but this recent assault is just one of several over recent months.

In January, he was arrested in Miami for punching a music promoter being underpaid for a performance. At the time of his January arrest, authorities discovered he also had an outstanding arrest warrant in Texas for a battery charge.
