In an inspiring display of academic prowess, 17-year-old LeAnna Roberts of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has achieved her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama, marking her third degree in just two years.

Roberts’ journey began with a thirst for knowledge and a determination to challenge herself.

At the age of 15, while completing her high school education at Central High, she simultaneously pursued an Associate’s degree in science from Shelton State Community College, a feat she accomplished on the same day she graduated from high school.

Driven by her passion for learning and supported by her parents, Roberts continued to push the boundaries of her education.

Embracing the opportunity for dual enrollment courses at Shelton State Community College during her ninth-grade year, she set the stage for her extraordinary academic journey.

Upon transitioning to the University of Alabama as a junior, Roberts pursued her undergraduate degree in biology, completing it by the age of 16.

Undeterred by the challenges of university life, she adapted, honed her study habits, and emerged victorious.

Now, at 17, Roberts proudly holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management, a testament to her unwavering dedication and exceptional intellect.

Reflecting on her accomplishments, Roberts acknowledges the pivotal role her parents played in nurturing her curiosity and instilling a love for learning from an early age.

She credits them for fostering an environment where intellectual growth is encouraged and supported.

Roberts’ academic achievements are not only a testament to her individual brilliance but also a source of inspiration for young Black women everywhere.

Her relentless pursuit of excellence serves as a reminder of the boundless potential within the Black community.

Looking ahead, Roberts shows no signs of slowing down. With plans to embark on another Master’s program at UAB in June, she remains steadfast in her pursuit of knowledge.

Her sights are set on completing her second Master’s by 2025 and ultimately fulfilling her dream of attending medical school.
