In a groundbreaking achievement, 28-year-old Antoinette Paris-Hudson etched her name into aviation history by becoming the third Black female pilot to attain the prestigious rank of Captain at PSA Airlines.
Her remarkable journey recently reached new heights as she secured a job offer from American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, marking a testament to her dedication and soaring accomplishments.
Antoinette’s passion for aviation dates back to her earliest memories, where she found inspiration in the majestic sight of planes taking off from LAX alongside her father.
As a first-generation pilot in her family, she embarked on an ambitious journey without a guiding mentor, fueled by an unwavering determination to turn her childhood dream into reality.
Her academic pursuits led her to graduate from Kansas State University in 2016 with a degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
Joining PSA Airlines in 2019 as a First Officer, Antoinette’s ascent within the company was swift. In 2022, she achieved the coveted position of Captain, marking a significant milestone in her career and in aviation history for Black women.
Expressing her gratitude in an emotional Facebook post, Antoinette credited her achievement as an “AIRLINE CAPTAIN” to the grace of God and her unwavering determination.
