Megan Thee Stallion is riding high â but in the midst great success, the haters are never far behind.
Despite her sexy image and raunchy lyrics, it appears to be mostly men who have a problem with Thee Stallion.
Sheâs unbothered.
âIâm starting to see how much more ignorant men are than I thought. When youâre a woman whoâs not a threat, men donât really bother you. And then as you grow into your own and as you become somebody who doesnât need a man or somebody who is so independent⌠men like that damsel in distress type of role and thatâs not me,â she told Evening Standard when asked about her views on the criticism.
Megâs raps are solid. Sheâs got freestyles for days. All of the major brands are queuing up for her endorsement. But even in 2021, females embracing their sexuality is uncomfortable for a lot of people.
âI feel like thatâs what kind of gets under a lot of menâs skin. Like, âHow dare she talk about her vâina? She loves herself and she donât need me and sheâs going to take my money.â I just feel like I make a lot of them uncomfortable and I feel like thatâs my job,â she asserts.
Meg continued, âIâm not a normal woman, Iâm not a normal person, and if my un-normalness offends you, well, Iâm obviously doing something right and, baby, look the other way. You canât stop looking the other way, because you like what you see and you hate that you like what you see. Thatâs why you hate it, thatâs why you go through all these emotions and youâre lashing out on me.â
