Beloved award-winning actress Keke Palmer has announced the release date for her much-anticipated book, ‘Master of Me: The Memoir’.
In a video post on Instagram, the Alice star said she was excited about her current book publishing journey so far.
“My New Book, Master Of Me will be available in the UK with Trapeze Books this November. I am so excited to be able to go on this journey with all of you. I am also thrilled to announce that the book will be available in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa along side many other markets around the world. Nothing brings me joy more than to be able to connect with you all worldwide.”
Master of Me: The Memoir is a title that a little while back Palmer said gave her the space to highlight how she feels like a master of her own life.
“I’ve been able to master myself for my own benefit and not allow people to use me for their benefit,” she told Essence. She says the book alludes to the notion that “if anyone is going to pull my strings, it’s going to be me.”
In the book, Keke expounds on standing firmly in who she is. She told Essence:
“It doesn’t matter how good you do the things that you’re trying to do–and feel you deserve this or that–it doesn’t mean things are going to go your way.”
She adds that she’s had to master her mind and her thoughts in those moments of time when things weren’t going her way. Palmer wanted to share these insights with her fans.
The actress also notes that fans can expect religious moments in Master of Me: The Memoir.
