Relief! 13-Year-Old Milwaukee Girl Found Safe After Alarming Disappearance

by Gee NY

A 13-year-old girl who was the subject of an urgent missing persons alert earlier this week has been found safe and in good health, according to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD).

Jamyla Norwood had been reported missing on Monday, July 28, after a series of disturbing messages and threats led her family to fear for her safety.

Authorities classified her as “critically missing and endangered” following a report from her mother, who said she received text messages from unknown numbers claiming her daughter was dead.

According to the police report, during a phone call with Jamyla, her mother overheard a female voice in the background threatening to beat the teen and push her down the stairs. The call then disconnected, and Jamyla’s whereabouts remained unknown for nearly two days.
