Paige Hurd is back in headlines after her former Power co-star Michael Rainey Jr. shared candid behind-the-scenes details about filming intimate scenes on the hit Starz series.
During a recent appearance, Rainey Jr. recalled a broader conversation Paige once had about shooting romantic scenes. According to him, she explained that if she were filming an intimate scene continuously and her scene partner did not show any physical reaction, she would feel offended. “Paige she was like… It wasn’t just me. This was a general conversation,” Rainey said. He shared that Hurd expressed she would “feel like a piece of” herself if her co-star did not get “a little bit excited” during extended takes. Rainey added that he was taken aback by the comment.
This conversation comes a month after Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo reunited with Paige on The Crew Has It podcast in February. The former co-stars sat down for an open discussion about life after Power and what Paigehas been working on. During the interview, she revealed she is currently planning her wedding.
The lighthearted mood shifted when Paolo asked whether he and Rainey were invited. Paige responded by confronting both actors, saying she was unsure they would want to attend. She explained that Paolo had removed her from his Close Friends list on social media and that she learned from a fan that Rainey had unfollowed her.
Paige then directly asked them when they had last spoken to her. Rainey remained mostly quiet while Paolo checked his phone for their message history. She also noted that they had plans to connect during Paris Fashion Week but never managed to meet, despite being in the same building several times.
While the exchange sparked online discussion, Paige is focused on her upcoming wedding. She is engaged to Royce O’Neale, a forward for the Phoenix Suns. The couple announced their engagement in People magazine in March 2025 after O’Neale proposed during a romantic dinner in Cabo in February.
According to People, Paige and O’Neale met in early 2024 and made their relationship Instagram official in January 2025. O’Neale shared that he had admired Paige for years, having grown up watching her in television shows and films.
