Ciara’s son Future Zahir is already getting a feel for college life, and he’s doing it alongside Russell Wilson. The 11-year-old recently took his first official college tour with his stepfather, visiting the University of Texas at Austin in a moment that quickly caught attention across social media.
Russell Wilson, 37, shared the experience on Instagram on March 14, documenting the day as he introduced Future to campus life. The pair toured the University of Texas at Austin, where Future explored key parts of the school’s athletic facilities tied to the Texas Longhorns program. Dressed in the team’s signature orange, he walked through the locker room, stepped onto the football field, visited an auditorium, and checked out the baseball batting cages.
Sitting beside his stepson in a car during the visit, Russell asked for his first impressions. Future didn’t hold back. “I love Texas,” he said. “I love the stadium. It’s just yeah, everything’s bigger in Texas, look at the stadium, pretty big.” The visit continued with a closer look at the Hildebrand Football Center, where Future viewed team trophies and took photos, flashing the Longhorns hand sign.
Russell captioned the post with a nod to the moment, calling it a fun experience and marking it as Future’s first campus visit. The outing also reflected Russell’s own background in college athletics. Before entering the NFL, he played both football and baseball at North Carolina State and later transferred to the University of Wisconsin, where he suited up for the Wisconsin Badgers. In 2012, he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks as the 75th overall pick.
Future Zahir’s college tour comes more than a decade after his birth in May 2014, when Ciara welcomed him with rapper Future. The former couple separated later that year. Ciara met Wilson in 2015, and the two married in 2016, building a family that includes their children Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess.
Russell has previously spoken about stepping into the role of a father figure in Future’s life. During a February 2024 appearance on I AM ATHLETE, he described the experience as a responsibility he embraced early on. He recalled meeting Future when the child was just nine months old and said he viewed raising him alongside Ciara as both a calling and a gift.
