Al Reynolds Says Nia Long Should Have Stayed With Ime Udoka Because “It’s Not The First Time She’s Been Cheated On…” [Video]

“She (Nia Long) still loves that man. That son still loves his dad… and I feel that this relationship would still be going on if it (cheating) didn’t happen on such a huge stage,” Al Reynolds defended his stance.

The former investment banker weighed in on Nia Long‘s decision to end her 13-year relationship with Ime Udoka.

Al Reynolds shared his sentiments while appearing alongside Claudia Jordan and Monroe Flame on a new ‘TEA-G-I-F’ episode.

“I’m sorry this ain’t in the favour of public opinion, but it’s my opinion. I would have to stay there and eat my food if I was Nia Long. This ain’t the first time this man has cheated on her. And I promise you if they stayed together, it won’t be the last,” Reynolds began his assessment.

According to the known author, Nia Long dumped Udoka because she was embarrassed the world got to know about the cheating.

“I think Nia Long got caught up in this feeling that happens to a lot of women that are very popular on social media and pop culture,” he continued. “She let the opinion of everybody and the embarrassment of this public cheating get in between her and her relationship with her man. That’s where I think she could have made better decisions.”

Nia Long and Ime Udoka went through a public separation following the former Boston Celtics head coach’s suspension last September for an alleged affair Udoka had with a female subordinate with the team.

Eight months into the end of their lengthy engagement, Nia Long filed for legal and physical custody of their son, claiming that her ex-fiancé Ime Udoka “has failed” to support their child.

Earlier this month, the legal battle ended after a judge awarded Long and Udoka joint custody of Kez, including other terms in their settlement agreement.
