Big Boss Vette is walking into 2026 cancer-free. The viral rapper, best known for her chart-rattling anthem “Pretty Girls Walk,” has officially beaten cancer after a year-long battle she kept completely private.

On Monday evening, the St. Louis native shared a hospital video that stopped timelines cold. Dressed in pink, wearing a bold “F**k Cancer” T-shirt, Big Boss Vette walked down a hospital hallway as staff and supporters cheered her on and her own hit song played in the background as she strutted forward and rang the victory bell, marking the end of her treatment.

“IF YOU WOULD’VE TOLD ME I’D BE BEATING CANCER AZZZZZZ IN 2026 I WOULDN’T HAVE BELIEVED YOU!!!! WE DID IT YALLLLLLLLL,” she wrote, capturing the disbelief, relief, and pride wrapped into that moment.

For many fans, the reveal was shocking. Until now, no one knew she was sick. According to reports, Big Boss Vette had been battling cancer quietly for the past year, undergoing chemotherapy that wrapped up at the start of 2026. Through it all, she never disappeared. She stayed active online, outspoken as ever, and visibly resilient, even when life was clearly testing her behind the scenes.

Her longtime publicist, Erica Hamilton, shared the emotional milestone on Instagram, calling Vette one of the strongest women she knows. She praised her faith, her endurance, and the way she handed her worries over to God and trusted the process.

“Today is one of the best days. My client turned sister finished her chemo. The strongest, most resilient woman I know. You gave God your worries, and He answered your prayers. I thank God for allowing you to start your year off with your journey to recovery. We’ll be there tomorrow too, so you can ring that bell for radiation. I love you!”

Even during treatment, Big Boss Vette’s voice never softened. In December, she posted a message that now reads differently in hindsight. She spoke about losing people, money, love, and stability, yet refusing to fold.

She wrote on X, “Embarrassed for what? Life humbled me a few times, but I never folded. Lost people, jobs, love, money… still popped out smiling. You can’t shame somebody who owns their story. I said what I said.”

After the bell-ringing video went viral, Vette followed up with another message, thanking supporters as she began her healing journey. She shared her gratitude for the love pouring in and hinted that she plans to tell her story more fully, hoping it might help others fighting similar battles feel less alone.
