On Mother’s Day, Blac Chyna took to social media to celebrate Mother’s Day by honoring her own mother, Tokyo Toni, real name Shalana Hunter, with a touching tribute.
Blac Chyna, now called Angela White, and her mother used to be the poster celebrity toxic mother-and-daughter duo.
Following Angela’s announcement in 2023 that she had converted to Christianity and undone her over-the-top cosmetic surgery, her mother has alternated between expressing hatred and support.
At sixteen, Toni gave birth to Blac Chyna, whose real name is Angela White. In 2018, she referred to Chyna as a “statutory rape baby” and a “mistake” during an argument.
That same year, Tokyo Toni made two posts on Instagram, tagging Rob Kardashian and Amber Rose. She begged them to ask her daughter to see her grandchildren. When her request was denied, she cussed out Blac Chyna on the internet.
Tokyo Toni declared in April 2023 that she would “Marvin Gaye” her daughter—a shocking statement considering Marvin Gaye’s 1984 death at the hands of his own father. The threat allegedly stemmed from Blac Chyna failing to send her $3,800 to pay her past-due rent balance.
Blac Chyna said that it was “the devil” talking when her mother wished for her death.
But at this very rare moment in time, Blac Chyna and her mother, Tokyo Toni, are on good terms—and hopefully, they will stay that way forever.
For Mother’s Day, the “Black Hamptons” actress posted a video of Toni’s grandbabies enjoying a message from their grandmother.
“Happy Mother’s Day to my mama, Tokyo Toni; without you, I wouldn’t be the mother I am today. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and guidance. And thank you for always having me laugh at jokes when you weren’t even telling them because you’re just a naturally funny person,” Blac Chyna wrote.
She also uploaded another video featuring Tokyo Toni and all their beautiful times together.
“Happy Mother’s Day again to my beautiful, strong mother @theinternetgodmother. Despite the disagreements my mom and I have had online, I truly believe that my journey and my movie will have a happy ending, which is exactly what God wants for me and my family. I pray that if any other women and daughters are going through similar challenges, they reach out to their moms. Mom, I love you. You only get one mom, so enjoy your Mother’s Day, everyone.”
This is truly a Mother’s Day miracle!
