Cardi B’s on-again/off-again saga with Offset has been in the “off” phase for a while, with their messy divorce ongoing since July 2024. However, over the past weekend, she decided it was high time for a “hard launch” of her new relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs, making their connection Instagram official on both their accounts.
Now, this relationship has been a slow burn, with its origins not exactly under the best circumstances. Back in October 2024, rumors swirled that Cardi had been texting and “entertaining” Diggs while still with Offset, a claim she seemed to deny in an October 9 X Spaces conversation, brushing off “fcking crazy” online rumors. Then, in December, Cardi confirmed she was “dating because I’m single” in a tweet that told Offset to “Sign the papers TODAY.” (That was in response to a now-deleted tweet from Offset, accusing her of “focus[ing] on dck and tryna make me look bad”.)
The paparazzi caught glimpses of the pair on Valentine’s Day in 2025 when TMZ posted footage of Cardi and Diggs arriving at a Miami hotel. But she still didn’t use that as an opportunity to confirm anything.
The sightings continued: Cardi was later seen dancing on the NFL star at a club during the first weekend of Coachella on April 13. The couple kept things relatively low-key until May 12, when they showed up to a Knicks game together. Then came the much-discussed Memorial Day yacht party on May 26, and soon after, their relationship officially landed on their social media accounts.
On Sunday, the 32-year-old rapper unleashed a carousel of romantic moments with Stefon Diggs, writing in the caption, “Chapter 5 ……Hello, Chapter Six” – hinting at six months together. And in true Cardi fashion, it was extra. Among the videos was a snapshot of Cardi B draped in Stefon Diggs’ Met Gala fur by Bianca Saunders while lounging on a couch. The carousel also contained a video of the new couple dancing, with Cardi B twerking on Stefon Diggs as he playfully spanked her!
