Chyvette Valentine, a former romantic partner of basketball legend Scottie Pippen, has taken legal action against him, along with his brother Carl and ex-wife Larsa Pippen.
Valentiine is alleging harassment and stalking. Filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, the lawsuit seeks a staggering $250 million in damages.
According to reports from Daily Mail, Valentine’s lawsuit, submitted on Wednesday, outlines the alleged suffering caused by Scottie, his brother Carl, and Larsa.
Valentine claims to have been in an on-and-off relationship with Scottie from 1987 to 1993, alleging that it ended after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Scottie and Carl in 2011.
Valentine further asserts that this alleged assault resulted in the birth of her son, Devonte Pippen, who passed away in 2011.
In court documents, she accuses Scottie of leveraging his celebrity status to “stalk, harass, and torment” her, causing “severe mental and emotional issues.”
The lawsuit reveals Valentine’s attempt to file a police report against Scottie, alleging that he manipulated law enforcement to portray her as mentally ill.
Additionally, it highlights her previous legal actions, including an attempt to sue Scottie for expenses related to travel to see him, and her purported unawareness of his marriage to Karen McCollum from 1988 to 1990.
A court date has been set for May 2, 2024, where the allegations and counterarguments will be further examined and adjudicated.
