As the founder of College Gurl and president of The College Gurl Foundation, Brown is committed to helping students—particularly those from underserved communities—navigate the financial complexities of higher education. Her dedication is ensuring that students across the nation have access to the resources and knowledge needed to pursue a college education.
One of her most impactful initiatives is the annual HBCU college bus tour, which takes students from Washington, D.C., to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country.
The College Gurl Foundation’s Fall 2023 College Tour allowed students to visit prominent institutions like Elon University, Winston-Salem State University, and Clark Atlanta University.
Beyond just academic exposure, the tour provided cultural and professional enrichment through stops at key locations such as Atlanta City Hall, Tyler Perry Studios, and SpelHouse Homecoming.
