Candace Owens is mostly known for giving her unwarranted opinions on a community she long turned her back on — and now she has a talk show on the way.

But do we even want a Candace Owens talk show?

Over the years, we’ve seen Owens emerge as Pro-Trump, anti-Black Lives Matter, pro-white nationalism and the list goes on.

“I guess the best way to describe it would be like a late-night talk show,” Owens told ITK about her upcoming venture. “It’s going to be funny. It’s going to be lighthearted. I think the most important adjective is it’s going to be hopeful.”

Owens, a political commentator who, despite riding for Trump the entire four years he was in office, was lowkey shunned by the GOP.

In 2019, Owens was forced to step away from her gig as communications director of Turning Point USA, a conservative advocacy group, after she made the following remarks:

“I actually don’t have any problems at all with the word ‘nationalism,'” Owens said. “I think that the definition gets poisoned by elitists that actually want globalism.

“Whenever we say nationalism, the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler,” Owens said. “He was a national socialist. But if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine. The problem is that … he wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German … To me, that’s not nationalism. In thinking about how we could go bad down the line, I don’t really have an issue with nationalism. I really don’t.”

She was too radical for the far-right.

I don’t think that there’s any doubt Owens will pull in decent ratings for on conservative media brand The Daily Wire, what can Owens really bring to the table that we haven’t already heard before. It will undoubtedly be the same old, tired rhetoric.

We know for Owens when a Black person is killed by the police — they are never a victim… it’s always their fault. We know that she’s dying to be accepted by a community that will never fully accept her and we know that if we say “the sky is blue,” she’ll say “it’s white.”

But whatever. We really don’t need this show… but its being forced on us anyway.
