Felicia Wright, the visionary Founder and CEO of Mygani, is redefining representation in fashion with her unique lifestyle brand.
Specializing in handbags adorned with exclusive illustrations of Black women, Mygani celebrates cultural identity and empowers women of color.
Since its launch in 2015, Wright has seamlessly blended creativity with purpose, establishing herself as a trailblazer in both business and community advocacy.
A Journey of Determination
Wright’s entrepreneurial path began with remarkable resilience. In 2011, while pregnant with her daughter, she pursued an MBA at the University of Phoenix, securing a full scholarship for her dedication to community service.
Despite the challenges of motherhood, she completed her degree and a marketing concentration shortly after her daughter’s birth in 2012.
Her experiences inspired the creation of Mompreneur Marketplace™, a Mygani platform launched in 2013 to support mothers juggling family life and entrepreneurship.
Wright also spearheaded collaborations with Jacksonville’s River City Live to spotlight Black-owned mompreneur businesses, further solidifying her role as a community advocate.
Elevating Confidence and Culture
Through Curls and Convo™, an annual event that champions self-confidence in women and girls of all skin tones and hair textures, Wright continues to inspire.
Her efforts earned February 12 official recognition as Curls and Convo Day in Jacksonville, Florida. Wright is also a strong supporter of the CROWN Act, which combats race-based hair discrimination and promotes inclusivity in professional and educational spaces.
A Mission Rooted in Empowerment
“Mygani is about more than accessories—it’s a movement,” Wright shares. “We’re creating products that tell our stories and celebrate our beauty, while building platforms that uplift our community.”
Today, Mygani champions of representation, offering an array of inspirational products and fostering confidence in women of color.
