In early 2023, the founder of Styleemi Treats took a bold leap of faith, leaving behind a job at Walmart and stepping into a new chapter filled with hard work, passion, and sweet creations.
What started as a side hustle—selling baked goods to coworkers at a demanding factory job—quickly turned into a full-fledged entrepreneurial journey.
In a detailed video on Instagram, the young woman disclosed that realizing the potential in her homemade treats, she expanded beyond workplace sales and began taking custom cake orders while also participating in local markets.

As demand for her baked goods grew, she outgrew her mother’s kitchen and knew it was time to take the next step: opening her own baking studio.
“I got the grand idea of opening a bakery, but I had to start small,” she shared.
With the support of her family, she built a dedicated bake studio from the ground up, all while continuing to fulfill orders. The process taught her invaluable skills, from construction to business management, and reinforced her determination to succeed.

While initially focused on cakes, she soon turned her attention to cookies, developing unique recipes that would set her apart.
The next challenge? Expanding online. Balancing a full-time serving job, she worked tirelessly to create an e-commerce platform where customers could order her signature cookies from anywhere. She designed the website herself, experimented with new recipes, and fine-tuned her business strategy.
“I made sure to put it on my prayer list. I was determined to open this online cookie store, and I knew it was going to be great,” she said in a video on Instagram.
Her perseverance paid off. Today, Styleemi Treats has an online presence, shipping delicious cookies nationwide and growing steadily.
Though she sees this as just the beginning, her story is inspiring.
