Doechii is clarifying her decisions regarding cosmetic procedures after fans urged her not to “alter her face.”

Doechii showcases her individuality through her music, daring fashion, and beauty decisions. However, despite her openness and sincerity, some fans have felt they have the right to tell her how she should present herself.

As a result, Doechii has chosen to confront the ongoing comments about not altering her appearance by confidently sharing that she has already undergone cosmetic procedures.

In a recent interview with The Cut, she said, “People comment to me like, ‘Oh my God, please never touch your face. If you did that, I just wouldn’t be able to support you.

“I’m thinking to myself, They have no idea that I have Botox and filler and whatever, and you love exactly who I am now.”

Before her interview, the Swamp Princess had addressed the issue in a video after admitting she had a bbl surgery in 2023.

In a TikTok video dated last year, Doechii addresses a fan’s comment, saying, “If you ever get cosmetic surgery, I’m leaving.”

“I’mma be so real to you. You should already be out the door because I’ve already had cosmetic enhancements since, like, 2021,” Doechii hit back while applying her makeup in a comeback video. “And y’all really need to stop normalizing making comments like these. Just let women do whatever they want to do with their bodies.”

In May 2023, Doechii shared her decision to have surgery while guesting on the “We Said What We Sai” podcast. Although she did not disclose the exact procedure, the “Alter Ego” rapper stressed that her body is her concern. “It’s nobody’s business,” she reiterated, reinforcing her stance that women do not need to justify their decisions.

Another trend that has gotten Doechii a fair amount of criticism from trolls is her face tapes.

Doechii has been using face tape as part of her looks for stage performances, red-carpet events, and other occasions. While many individuals apply face tape to achieve a lifted appearance, most tend to hide it by positioning it on the sides of their faces and allowing their hair to cover it. However, Doechii chooses not to conceal it. She confidently showcases the tape on the sides of her face, placing the connecting string over her hair instead.

“She likes exposing something that’s meant to be hidden, “Doechii’s stylist Sam Woolf told the New York Times. “She just thinks outside the box, and she likes being vulnerable, and she likes showing things that are not meant to show.”
