The untimely death of rapper Rich Homie Quan has shredded the hip-hop community, and now, his girlfriend has broken her silence, sharing her heartbreaking experience and the painful moments leading up to his tragic passing.
Rich Homie Quan died on Thursday, September 5, at the age of 33. The 911 call from his girlfriend, Amber Williams, reveals details about his final moments.
After giving the emergency location, Williams informed the operator that Rich Homie Quan was unresponsive and in need of an ambulance.
“My boyfriend has been asleep on the couch since this morning… I left him on the couch before I took my son to school this morning; put a blanket over him,” she began.
Returning home, she found Quan still asleep, but when she checked on him, she saw a horrifying sight.
She continued, “I just checked on him, and he never got up. I don’t feel a heartbeat; I don’t feel him breathing. I turned him over and see he kind of foamed at the mouth.”
Quan’s girlfriend has since remained mostly silent, grappling with her grief in private. However, on Saturday, September 7, Amber Nicole Williams released a heartbreaking statement on her Instagram Story after she discovered his body at their home in Atlanta on Thursday.
“This pain is unbearable,” Williams began. “The love you all have shown is an overflow. I truly appreciate everyone who’s reached out. I’m traumatized from a moment that’ll forever be in my head. I have nothing to prove because my love for my other half was ALWAYS shown; I had nothing to hide. Please respect me and the family at this time.”
“Our house is no longer a home. I’m completely heartbroken 15 years gone. I’ll never be the same. This is a complete nightmare. We never could let go, but you didn’t have to leave me like this. #Numb.”
Quan’s official cause of death is still unknown. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office was scheduled to conduct an autopsy on him on Friday, but the results have yet to be made public.
