Since being thrust into international stardom after becoming the wife to a royal prince, Meghan Markle’s friendships have taken a nose dive, according to an insider.
In a recent GB News report, British TV Presenter Lizzie Cundy, said that Meghan and Prince Harry accused David and Victoria Beckham of leaking stories about them to the press.
Since then, Cundy thinks that the Duchess may have influenced Prince Harry into thinking the Beckhams were behind the actions, even though it has not been confirmed.
When the Beckhams got wind of Meghan’s accusations, Cundy said David became “absolutely furious,” another source said.
Cundy now says Meghan’s accusations have caused a deep rift between the two couples, and now other friends have chosen to distance themselves from the pair.
“I think Victoria and David have slowly tiptoed away like the other friends,” Cundy said. “Many friends who went to the wedding have tiptoed away from Meghan.”
She further added that she highly doubts the Beckhams would reveal information about them to the press.
“These are real big family people, there’s no way Victoria would’ve leaked stories,” she said.
It was in 2013 when Meghan first met Posh Spice, Cundy recalls, and stated Meghan was star struck when they met. They would soon become friends but their friendship has since turned cold.
Cundy said she was with Meghan at the Global Gift Gala in New York when she first saw the former Spice Girl there.
“I’ve never seen anyone squeal quite like it,” she told the New York Post. “Meghan was so thrilled with excitement to see Victoria Beckham. She went ‘Oh my God, that’s Victoria Beckham! It was crazy. I thought ‘You’ve got to calm down and be cool.”
Meghan Markle celebrated her 42nd birthday on Friday. She is the mother of two: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Meghan Markle reps have not responded to the allegations at the time of this writing.
