Marianne Kilonzi, a 43-year-old Citibank executive, was tragically found beaten to death in her Woolwich flat on Jan. 17, 2025
Authorities have launched an international manhunt for the suspect, who they believe may have fled abroad.
The Metropolitan Police responded to a welfare call at Kilonzi’s home on Argyll Road around 5:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered her body.
A subsequent autopsy confirmed that Kilonzi had died from blunt-force trauma and a head injury.
Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Soren, the lead investigator, emphasized that the suspect was known to Kilonzi, assuring the public that there is no broader threat to the community.
“This is a tragic crime, and our thoughts are with Marianne’s loved ones and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time,” Soren told BBC, urging anyone with information to assist in the investigation.

Marianne Kilonzi served as Vice President of Trade and Working Capital Sales in the Treasury and Trade Solutions division at Citibank.
