Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s new book is already making publishing history, with her publisher declaring it on track to become the best-selling memoir of 2025.

Her memoir, 107 Days, chronicles the turbulent 2024 presidential campaign that began after then-President Joe Biden exited the race. In its opening week, the book sold an impressive 350,000 copies across all formats, including print, e-books, and audiobooks, according to publisher Simon & Schuster.

The release quickly catapulted Harris into the spotlight once again107 Days hit shelves in the U.S. on Sept. 23, and has now entered its fifth printing due to high demand. The publisher described the sales as a clear indicator that Harris’s account resonates far beyond political circles.

“These sales put 107 Days on a trajectory to be the best-selling memoir published in 2025,” the publishing house said in a statement.

The memoir does not shy away from controversy. Harris writes candidly about her former running mate, calling Biden’s initial decision to seek reelection “recklessness.” The remark has already fueled debate among Democrats as they continue to wrestle with lessons from the bruising 2024 campaign that ended in Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

Simon & Schuster President and CEO Jonathan Karp praised the book’s success as a cultural milestone. “In addition to being one of the most interesting books ever written about the experience of running for president of the United States, the success of 107 Days proves what a galvanizing and inspiring cultural figure Kamala Harris is,” Karp said.

He also pointed out that Harris’s opening week numbers place her in rare company. Since 2023, only memoirs by global superstars such as Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, and Prince Harry have surpassed her first-week sales.

For Harris, the achievement adds another chapter to her complex political story. Whether 107 Days signals a lasting comeback in national politics remains to be seen, but for now, it has cemented her status as one of the most compelling voices of 2025.
