Latto is memorializing her latest victory off the charts. The “Big Energy” hitmaker has officially closed on a new house, a testament to the success of her latest album, “Sugar Honey Iced Tea.”
The 25-year-old has been riding high since the release of her latest album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
Since its debut, Sugar Honey Iced Tea has been making waves, with critics and fans praising Latto’s versatility, lyrical prowess, and catchy hooks. The album debuted at number one on the charts, cementing Latto’s place among the top hip-hop artists.
The new album is expected to sell 27K units in its first week of availability. This puts her on track for a top-20 debut on the Billboard 200 chart, while her previous album, 777, peaked at number 15.
The Atlanta rapper released Sugar Honey Iced Tea on Friday, August 9. The album includes collaborations with Young Nudy, Hunxho, Coco Jones, Megan Thee Stallion, Ciara, Mariah the Scientist, Teezo Touchdown, Cardi B, and Flo Milli.
Latto hosted a party in Atlanta on August 10 to celebrate the release, paying homage to Lauren London’s iconic cascade scene from the classic film ATL. Complete with neon lights, skates, and music from the early 2000s, the setting set the tone for Latto’s homage to the classic coming-of-age film. Attendees included Yung Miami, Luh Tyler, Saucy Santana, Mariah The Scientist, and Andrea Kelly.
The album’s reviews have been largely positive. Fans have praised it upon first listening, with many taking to social media to claim it has “no skips.”
While specifics about the new property have yet to be revealed, the news of Latto’s real estate investment is undoubtedly cause for celebration among both the artist and her fans.
“New money, new crib, new whip, new name Big Mama still that btc,” a fan commented.
Another added, “Congratulations, this is so wholesome. I love how you can take it up or pull it down.”
Go, Latto! Congratulations on your new house!
