The internet’s imaginary feud between Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow is officially over, and it ended with a delicious slice of pie. The Duchess of Sussex and the Goop founder took to Instagram this week to hilariously debunk rumors of rivalry between their lifestyle brands, proving that when it comes to Hollywood drama, sometimes the tea is actually just… dessert.

The speculation began after Paltrow’s recent Vanity Fair interview, where she was asked if she viewed Markle’s new brand, American Riviera Orchard, as competition. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” Paltrow responded diplomatically. “There’s always more than enough to go around.”

But it was her follow-up comment, “I don’t know Meghan and Harry”, that sent gossip mills spinning. Critics pounced, framing it as a subtle dig. Paltrow quickly clarified, joking that she’d “try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie” to connect.

Turns out, she wasn’t kidding.

On Tuesday (March 26), Paltrow used her Instagram Stories to address the faux feud head-on. In a casual kitchen Q&A, a fan asked, “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?”

“I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” Paltrow replied, before turning the camera to reveal Markle herself, lounging at her counter with a plate of pie. The Duchess shrugged, took another bite, and burst into laughter, letting the absurdity of the rumor speak for itself.

The move definitively put feud rumors to rest.

The joint appearance happens amidst comparisons between the Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix show, *With Love, Meghan*, and her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop empire, leading to speculation of a possible feud. Paltrow shared a video of herself making breakfast that resembled scenes from the Netflix series, using the song featured in Meghan’s show ads, “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole.

The duchess, who, similar to Paltrow, started her journey in acting, has recently unveiled the rebranding of her lifestyle brand As Ever, along with her Netflix cooking series “With Love, Meghan” and an upcoming podcast titled “Confessions of a Female Founder.” This collection of content is widely regarded as Meghan’s second act following her and Prince Harry’s decision to step back from their positions as senior royals in 2020.
