A Texas family is calling for public assistance after a 39-year-old mother of two was left critically injured in a hit-and-run crash, with the driver still at large.
According to authorities, Lolita Moore was struck while crossing a roadway in Houston on the evening of March 12. The incident occurred near the intersection of FM 1960 and Cypress Station Road, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Moore had just left a grocery store and was heading home when the crash happened. Family members say she may have fallen in the roadway moments before being hit.

Critical Injuries and Ongoing Fight
Moore was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, including severe head trauma. According to her family, she remains in critical condition after undergoing multiple surgeries.
Relatives say doctors have indicated she sustained catastrophic injuries affecting her head and neck, requiring extensive medical intervention, including assisted breathing support.
“She’s fighting,” a family member said, noting that Moore has shown limited signs of responsiveness since the incident.
Driver Still at Large
Authorities say the driver who struck Moore fled the scene and has not yet been identified. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation and has appealed to the public for tips that could help locate the suspect.

Community Appeal
Moore’s family has also taken to social media to raise awareness about the case and seek justice, stressing the devastating impact on her children and loved ones. The family has launched a GoFundMe to help with the cost of her recovery.
The case adds to ongoing concerns about hit-and-run incidents, which often leave victims and families searching for answers while law enforcement works to identify those responsible.
Authorities have not released further details about the suspect or vehicle involved.
