In a strong show of support, more than 90 corporate leaders have publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the U.S. presidency, citing her dedication to advancing American industries and fostering a robust business environment.
The endorsement, released on Sept. 6, includes backing from prominent figures across corporate America, including James Murdoch, CEO of 21st Century Fox, Michael Lynton, Chairman of Snap, and Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO of Yelp.
In their joint letter, the executives expressed confidence in Harris’s ability to lead the country while supporting economic growth.
“The business community can be confident that it will have a president who wants American industries to thrive,” the letter states.
The letter features a three-page list of supporters and donors making their first public endorsements of Harris since she became the presumptive Democratic nominee in July.
Among the notable signatories are private equity billionaire José Feliciano, Twilio co-founder Jeff Lawson, and Ted Leonsis, owner of several D.C. sports teams, including the NBA’s Washington Wizards.
The endorsement highlights Harris’s record as Vice President in promoting business investment in the U.S. and ensuring that American businesses remain competitive on the global stage.
“Her election is the best way to support the continued strength, security, and reliability of our democracy and economy,” the letter continues, underscoring Harris’s commitment to advancing policies that support both the rule of law and a stable business environment.
While Harris has garnered substantial backing from corporate leaders, former President Donald Trump has also received endorsements from major figures such as Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Bill Ackman, billionaire hedge fund manager.
