New York Attorney General Letitia James Calls Out ‘Serial Sexual Harasser’ Andrew Cuomo

New York State Attorney General Letitia James blasted former state governor Andrew Cuomo in a blistering attack over the weekend.

“Serial sexual harasser Andrew Cuomo won’t even spare a house of worship from his lies,” James wrote in a statement released to the press.

“Even though multiple independent investigations found his victims to be credible, Cuomo continues to blame everyone but himself,” she said, adding that New Yorkers were “ready to move forward from this sick, pathetic man.”

Cuomo delivered a speech at a Brooklyn church Sunday, where he condemned “cancel culture.”

“The actions against me were prosecutorial misconduct,” Cuomo said boldly. “They used cancel culture to effectively overturn an election.”

In August, James announced that an independent investigation into allegations against Cuomo found that he did, in fact, sexually harass multiple women.

“This is a sad day for New York because independent investigators have concluded that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and, in doing so, broke the law,” said James at a news conference at the time. “I am grateful to all the women who came forward to tell their stories in painstaking detail, enabling investigators to get to the truth. No man — no matter how powerful — can be allowed to harass women or violate our human rights laws, period.”

While Cuomo admitted that his actions may have been “dated,” he still denies any claims of sexual misconduct.

“I didn’t appreciate how fast the perspectives changed,” he said on Sunday. “I’ve learned a powerful lesson and paid a very high price for learning that lesson. God isn’t finished with me yet.”

Speaking at TheWrap’s 2021 Power Women Summit last week, James denounced Cuomo over his lack of accountability and said she continues to support his alleged victims.

“It’s unfortunate that the former governor refuses to take responsibility for any of his conduct,” James said. “I stand behind the fact that vulnerable individuals in nursing homes died as a result of failed leadership, and two, that the women that were part of the investigation, again, were victims of Governor Cuomo’s conduct and his behavior. And I believe those women, and I would hope that governor Cuomo would move on.”
