Last week it was reported that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey would be exiting the series.
This week, Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross has been announced as the franchise’s newest addition.
LoveBScott first broke the news. Sources told the platform that Sanya’s preparing to film with the cast but are unsure as to whether Sanya will be a full-time Housewife — although they would like her to be.
Sanya and her husband — former NFL cornerback Aaron Ross — previously starred in their own WeTV reality show “Sanya’s Glam & Gold.”
There appears to be a lot of uncertainty surrounding the show.
Page Six is now reporting that Porsha might not be leaving after all.
“Porsha is still in communication with the network and talks to participate in Season 14 are ongoing,” a source told Page Six.
“In the past, Porsha has repeatedly told her castmates that she doesn’t want to come back to the show. Even though it’s such a successful show and she’s loved by fans, she thinks she might want to explore her career beyond the show,” a second source added. “She’s also worn out by Kenya [Moore] and all the drama she’s put her through.”
Earlier this month, Kenya Moore also alluded to changes behind the scenes.
“[There are] some new faces… and some old faces not there.” she told ET. But Kenya had been hoping for a change in lineup for a while.
“Listen, I’m not a network, I’m not the production company,” she told Hollywood Life in May 2020. “I won’t speak to who should be back and who shouldn’t be back, but I definitely think we need a cast shake-up, I think that we need fresh faces. I think [with] all of the franchises, what keeps them interesting is that you have new people, so I think that we definitely need some new people.”
“RHOA” OG Sheree Whitfield is returning to the show. Some fans are hoping Phaedra Parks will also return.
