Pinky Cole Hayes, the dynamic entrepreneur behind the Slutty Vegan empire, celebrated a homecoming to remember with the grand opening of her Baltimore location at 321 E. Cromwell Street.
Crowds braved 35-degree weather to welcome Cole Hayes, a Baltimore native, as she shared her journey from selling burgers out of her two-bedroom apartment to leading a nationally celebrated vegan restaurant chain.
“This is bigger than burgers and fries,” Cole Hayes told the cheering crowd. “This is community building, ecosystem building, and doing something that has never been done.”
Founded in 2018, Slutty Vegan started as a made-to-order Instagram operation. Within months, the buzz turned into a food truck, followed by the first brick-and-mortar location in Atlanta.
Today, the brand boasts multiple locations across the country, including New York City, Dallas, and Birmingham. The Baltimore opening mirrors the excitement of her Atlanta debut, where more than 1,200 supporters gathered in cold weather to celebrate.
Cole Hayes spoke strongly about perseverance and community in her message to fans. “Keep fighting for what you believe in,” she encouraged, reflecting on her six-year journey of transforming a local business into a global brand.
Looking ahead, the entrepreneur teased ambitious expansion plans for 2025, inviting others to join her journey. She hinted at a vision board party to mark another successful year of Slutty Vegan’s impact, blending business growth with meaningful community engagement.
The Baltimore location solidifies Cole Hayes’s mission to create spaces where food and culture intersect, all while championing plant-based eating and sustainable practices.
Slutty Vegan continues to redefine the restaurant industry, one vegan burger at a time.
