Raven-Symoné is sticking up for her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, amid an onslaught of hate following a recent podcast interview.
The 38-year-old former Disney star called out recent hate her wife has received in a new TikTok.
In the video, Raven expresses her feelings. At the same time, the two ladies are seated next to each other and seem dead serious.
The threats started after Miranda Maday revealed in the Bottoms Up With Fannita podcast that she did not know about Raven-Symoné’s song, ‘The Party Just Began.
Because of her lack of knowledge of her wife’s work and her inability to sing along to some of The Cheetah Girls’ songs, Miranda drew a lot of criticism and backlash.
Now, Raven is calling for it all to stop, especially the death threats in Miranda’s DMs.
“I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments and to stop with the death threats in her DMs.It is disrespectful to her and, in turn, disrespectful to me. Stop it!”
Miranda also clarified that she does, in fact, know Raven’s work and has been there for a lot of it.
“It’s really become wild. I hope to clear the air right now. You all know I’ve never once said I did not know who Raven was. I only ever said that I did not grow up watching ‘That’s So Raven,'” Maday continued. “I did not watch her as a child. However, since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen the majority of her work. I have also been at a lot of these works.”
Miranda Maday added, “I think my wife is endlessly talented. I support her beyond. She also just isn’t ‘Raven-Symoné ‘to me. You guys must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are [a] celebrity.
“There is real life here, and that is why we are inclined to address this. I’m receiving so much hate for something that is really just a big spiral of internet misinformation.”
