Rihanna has become the face of Vogue China’s latest issue as she launches her billion-dollar cosmetic company, Fenty Beauty brand, in mainland China, further expanding her empire in Asia.
In September 2019, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty first attempted to boost its global presence through Asia, expanding into the Hong Kong, Macau, Seoul, and Jeju markets.
Fenty Beauty is continuing its expansion.
Yesterday, Rihanna took to the Chinese social media platform Weibo to announce that Fenty Beauty would launch in mainland China on April 1.
“China, I am thrilled to share the great news. On April 1, Fenty Beauty will officially land,” Rihanna disclosed. “China has such a rich culture that has always inspired me, and I cannot wait to share Fenty Beauty with all of you and celebrate your unique beauty.”
“Thank you guys so much for making my dream come true, and I can’t wait to see you soon,” the Umbrella and Diamonds singer continued in a video.
The 36-year-old billionaire 36 is the star of the April issue by the Chinese arm of the fashion bible, Vogue.
Although the media outlet has released images of her on the cover, the interview is yet to be published.
