Rihanna’s 37th Birthday: A$AP Rocky Plans Surprise After Court Triumph

Rihanna’s 37th birthday was anything but ordinary as it came just days after A$AP Rocky’s high-stakes court victory in his gun assault trial.

On Thursday, February 20, the “Diamonds” singer marked her special day at home in Los Angeles with Rocky, 36, and their two young sons, sources exclusively tell Page Six. The pair enjoyed a private breakfast together, prioritizing family time after a whirlwind week.

“Today’s the day where they’re basically reconnecting with the family, and they’re just staying home,” the source tells Page Six, adding that no lavish dinners or parties were planned.

The birthday celebration came two days after A$AP Rocky (legal name Rakim Mayers) was found not guilty on two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The charges stemmed from a 2021 altercation involving his former friend, ASAP Relli.

Rocky, who was potentially looking at a prison sentence of up to 24 years for supposedly shooting his former friend A$AP Relli in 2021, immediately ran into the Umbrella singer’s embrace after being found not guilty.

After the ruling, Rihanna posted a message on Instagram Stories, stating, “ALL GLORY IS TO GOD AND GOD ALONE! GRATEFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS GRACE!” Later that night, the couple was spotted having a celebratory dinner in Beverly Hills.

With the legal cloud lifted, Rocky wasted no time shifting focus to Rihanna. A day after the verdict, he was spotted hustling through Beverly Hills to curate the perfect birthday haul, stopping at Rolex and Chanel on Rodeo Drive before ducking out a boutique’s back entrance, presumably to dodge paparazzi.

After being cleared of all charges, A$AP Rocky expressed gratitude to the jury, saying, “Thanks y’all for saving my life.”  A jury in Los Angeles deliberated for three hours to reach the verdict.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s romance, which started in late 2020, has faced its fair share of public criticism. Nevertheless, this low-key birthday celebration highlights their dedication to one another and their intention to restore and strengthen their bond after a difficult period.
