Social Commentator Warns Epstein Files Vote Could Be A Mere ‘Setup’: ‘Let’s Be Real…It’s Choreography’

by Gee NY

A searing new critique from commentator and content creator Niki Free has presented a new perspective on Congress’s stalled efforts to release the long-awaited Epstein Files.

The files are a trove of documents that potentially detail networks of abuse, enablers, and high-profile associates tied to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

In an Instagram post and accompanying video, Free argues that next week’s expected House vote to release the files smells like a setup,” accusing leaders in Washington of orchestrating delays and distractions to shield the powerful rather than protect the public.

“The Epstein Files should be released fully, publicly, and without a single blackout bar,” she wrote. “No more delays. No more distractions. No more protecting predators in power.”

A Vote That Keeps Moving but Never Lands

Free’s underlying argument taps into a long-running sentiment: that Congress has repeatedly hinted at transparency, only to retreat at the last moment. She points directly at House Speaker Mike Johnson, who blocked a similar vote earlier this year, but is now positioning himself as a champion of accountability.

“Let’s be real — this isn’t justice, it’s choreography, Free said. “Step one, promise action. Step two, stall the vote. Step three, cue in some huge breaking-news distraction big enough to bury the story.

Her commentary hits a nerve because this exact sequence has played out before. In several instances, the push to release Epstein-related documents has collided with sudden political detours, procedural delays, or eleventh-hour objections from House leadership.

Powerful Names, High Stakes

Free also notes a contrast that continues to trouble observers: Britain stripped Prince Andrew of titles and duties, yet the United States — with far more political and legal muscle — has treated Epstein’s network with caution that borders on paralysis.

“Here in America, the so-called land of justice, we’re shielding billionaires, politicians, and presidents,” she said. “It’s shameful.”

Adding to skepticism, she points to reports that President Donald Trump recently summoned close allies and members of Congress to a classified meeting in the White House Situation Room to discuss the upcoming vote. Free argues that move is a sign of political panic, not preparation.

“When the powerful get nervous, they do not confess,” she said. “They distract. They circle the wagons.”

Advocates for transparency — including surviving victims, legal experts, and civil-rights groups — insist that the only meaningful resolution is a full, unedited, unredacted release of all Epstein-related documents. Anything less, they argue, allows abusive systems to remain intact and enables the same institutions that protected Epstein for decades to shield others now.

Free’s message echoes that public exhaustion bluntly: “Until those files are released publicly, fully, and without blackout bars, this is not justice. It’s political theater.”

Why This Matters

The Epstein case has become more than a story about one predator. It is now a litmus test for American accountability — a question of whether justice bends with the political winds, or whether institutions are capable of confronting wrongdoing when it implicates the powerful.

As the House prepares once again to bring the Epstein Files to the floor, the nation will be watching closely. Advocates say this time feels different — because this time, people across the political spectrum are refusing to look away.

Whether Congress follows through, or stages another procedural sidestep, may determine more than the fate of sealed documents. It could determine whether the country still believes its institutions are capable of telling the truth when the truth is most difficult to face.
