TLC member T-Boz has addressed recent rumors surrounding her hospitalization, which forced TLC to cancel multiple concerts, denying claims that she was ill due to Ozempic use.

Multiple event coordinators, including representatives from the New York State Fair, revealed last Saturday (Aug. 24) that TLC was forced to cancel upcoming shows due to Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins’s “severe abdominal blockage.”

A part of the statement read, “Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters. The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight.”

When news of her hospitalization broke, some fans jumped to conclusions, claiming that T-Boz’s condition was caused by her use of the popular weight-loss drug, Ozempic.

“I would have never put my business out there like that, but I guess because I missed shows, it had to be said, but I just don’t think it should have been so detailed ’cause I don’t like people in my business — and I don’t like all this attention,” Watkins said in a video posted to her Instagram on Aug. 28.

She continued: “It had nothing to do with constipation. No, I’m not on Ozempic. Everybody and every celeb ain’t on Ozempic, and I just want to say the ignorance is just, like, disheartening to me.”

And even after the 53-year-old star explained the medical emergency on her official Instagram platform, the Ozempic speculations did not die down, and she had to resort to a video call with “The Breakfast Club” to shut down the misinformation.

“I was feeling totally fine. I got to Syracuse, New York [by] plane. I ate something, so I thought I had food poisoning. My stomach felt like the Incredible Hulk took it and said, ‘Hulk smash.’ It was an unbearable pain. I couldn’t stand up. I couldn’t talk. I couldn’t walk, and when the doctor came to see me to prove that I was sick, he immediately was like, ‘She needs to go in,'” she clarified on Thursday, Aug. 29.

T-Boz then disclosed how a decades-old C-section was ultimately the cause, stressing that many have died from the condition.

In T-Boz’s case, the organ was able to heal independently, and she is already planning to return to the road for spot performances.
